Dr. Max E. and Mrs. Nancy H. Creager
For Nancy and Max Creager, education was their life. Nancy taught at Pequa Valley School District before moving to the Waynesboro School District where she taught from 1957 to 1972. Max began his teaching career in Dillsburg, Pennsylvania, with the Northern York School District in 1957. He came to Waynesboro that fall to teach and serve as a guidance counselor for the Waynesboro School District before moving to Hagerstown Community College as Director fo Admissions and Registrar until his retirement in 1994. The couple established the scholarship for the benefit of Shippensburg University students in secondary education with financial need to provide students with the opportunity to receive an outstanding education and lay the foundation for a fulfilling career.
