Robert H. Long Jr.
Mr. Robert H. Long, Jr. Esq. graduated from Shippensburg State College in 1965 with a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts. For most of his professional life, Bob was a bond attorney, becoming Senior Partner of the law firm of Rhodes and Sinon and later Partner with Thomas, Long, Niesen and Kennard. In 1993, he joined the SU Foundation Board of Directors to be more engaged with his alma mater and make a difference for the students and for the University. For 18 years, Bob brought his intellect and problem-solving skills to design strategies to help achieve SU Foundation's goals and provide additional resources for the University. He was committed to his alma mater and finding ways to serve the students. In 2003, Bob received Shippensburg University's Distinguished Alumnus Award in recognition of his many years of service to Shippensburg University. Bob valued quality education and believed that a Shippensburg education was as good as the best institutions in the country. This scholarship is a wonderful tribute to Bob, whose work on behalf of the University was a testament to his belief in the power of an education and his love of Shippensburg University.
