John and Carolyn Gross
John Gross graduated from the Shippensburg State Teachers College (now SU) in 1950 and earned a master's in education from Western Maryland College in 1954. He retired in 1984 as superintendent of the East Pennsboro School District. He was also known for his contributions as a football coach. Carolyn Wantz Gross graduated from SU in 1952 with a degree in education and taught school in York and Enola.
