Anthony F. and Valerie Ceddia
The Anthony F. and Valerie Ceddia Leadership Scholarship was established by friends, family and colleagues in honor of Dr. Ceddia's 2005 retirement as President of Shippensburg University. Dr. Ceddia's 24 years of service makes him the longest serving president in the history of the university. Dr. and Mrs. Ceddia arrived on campus in 1981 and both engaged in providing an unsurpasssed level of leadership, commitment, and dedication to the university. They also provided their insight and leadership to a variety of professional, community and civic organizations. The Ceddias enjoyed seeing students evolve into capable student-leaders within the myriad of campus organizations. This scholarship will provide further encouragement for Shippensburg Unviersity students to become active in positions of leadership and provide a vehicle to recognize their efforts.
