Hugh and Kathryn Aberman
Dr. Hugh M. "Hank" Aberman and his wife Kathryn K. "Kathy" Aberman established two scholarships to provide scholarship assistance in honor of students who made their professional experiences at Shippensburg University so enjoyable. They both enjoyed employment, a love for Shippensburg University students, and a variety of positive experiences and friendships within the campus community at Shippensburg University.
Joining the Psychology Department faculty in 1969, Dr. Aberman served as department chair for nine years, from 1986-1995. He received his baccalaureate and master's degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and his doctorate from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA.
Mrs. Kathryn Aberman served as an assistant professor at the Learning Center at Shippensburg University, working there from 1991 to 2004. Kathy previously taught secondary education English at Carlisle and Cumberland Valley school districts. She received her baccalaureate degree in secondary education English at Pennsylvania State University and her master's degree in secondary education English from Temple University.
