William L. and Deborah W. Piper
Dr. Paul L. Stone began his teaching career in 1937 and joined the Shippensburg University faculty in 1964. He received a B.S. degree in elementary education from Shippensburg State College. Dr. Stone earned his M.Ed. degree from the University of Pittsburgh and later his D.Ed. degree from Pennsylvania State University.
In addition to Dr. Stone's 13 years of service on the Elementary Education Department faculty at Shippensburg University, he also has experience as a one-room schoolteacher, junior high English teacher, building principal, and as the first supervising principal of the Big Spring School District.
This scholarship was established by William L. and Deborah W. Piper in honor of Dr. Paul L. Stone.
