Ronald L. and Patricia Friese Finkenbinder
Ron and Pat Finkenbinder graduated from Lemoyne High School in 1950. After high school, Ron attended and graduated from Shippensburg State Teachers College with a bachelor of science degree in education in 1954. They were married in September of the same year. Ron also earned a master's degree in guidance and counseling from Shippensburg University in 1965 and obtained his doctorate in school psychology from Penn State in 1971. Ron held various educational positions in the school districts of Boiling Springs, Cumberland Valley, and Mechanicsburg. He retired as Director of Special Education for the Capital Area Intermediate Unit. After retirement, he worked as a school psychologist for the school districts of Northern York and Steelton-Highspire.
Pat was a clerk/stenographer with the Pennsylvania Railroad when she and Ron married and worked until the arrival of their first child. She worked as a secretary and library aide for the Mechanicsburg Area School District, and later as a secretary to the Upper Allen Township Manager and a stenographer for the Board of Commissioners of Upper Allen Township until her retirement.
