Mary J. Walter
The Herman and Regina Walter Memorial Scholarship was established by Mary J. Walter '82-'86M in memory of her parents. Mary earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a master’s degree in organizational communication from Shippensburg University. Her "love of the written word" was instilled in her by her parents; her father, who read to her when she was young, and her mother, who "edited" her first stories even though neither of her parents attended school past the eighth grade.
