Nevin B. Montgomery

In 2010, Nevin B. Montgomery retired as President and CEO of the National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Association, Inc. In recognition of his 38 years of service and his many accomplishments, the National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Association, Inc. established the Nevin B. Montgomery Scholarship.      Nevin Montgomery graduated from Shippensburg University in 1967 with a B.S. in Elementary Education and in 1970 with an M.S. in Education. Nevin began a career in teaching and coaching high school students, but in 1973, accepted a position with the National Frozen Food Association.
Under Nevin's leadership, the first frozen food month was launched in 1984 followed the next year by a national frozen food day, proclaimed by then President Ronald Reagan. What ensued was a focused and successful promotion of the frozen food industry.  Nevin was also instrumental in developing a new logo and re-branding the Association to be more reflective of its mission, goals, and objectives.
Under his presidency, the National Frozen Food Association purchased its company headquarters in Harrisburg, PA.  The Association also expanded, incorporating refrigerated dairy in 2001 as an integral part of the National Frozen Food Association which then became the National Frozen & Refrigerated Food Association.
Throughout his career, Nevin always maintained a close contact with youth and a belief in the power of education.
