Corinne Kostukovich
Richard J. Kostukovich was the first in his family to go to college, graduating from Shippensburg State Teachers College in 1956 with a degree in Mathematics with minors in History and English. His first teaching job was at Greencastle High School, followed by West Shore School District, and Cedar Cliff High School, where he taught math until he retired in 1992.
Dick met his wife and love of his life, Corinne, when he was a freshman at Shippensburg. Corinne, was working as a waitress at a local Shippensburg restaurant. Dick and Corinne loved to travel, and they spent much of his retirement visiting all 50 states, some more than once, and 42 countries including New Zealand and Fiji. After 54 years of marriage, Dick passed away in 2011. Wanting to leave a legacy for Dick and his commitment to education, Corinne established the Richard J. Kostukovich Memorial Scholarship to help a student from Cedar Cliff High School continue their education at Shippensburg University.
