Sandra K. Spence
Sandra K. Spence graduated from Shippensburg University in 1971 with a degree in elementary education. Ms. Spence spent the first ten years of her life as a teacher in the West Shore District, and furthered her education by earning a masters degree in education from the Pennsylvania State University. In addition to teaching, she has owned and operated the Cashtown Inn and served as a social worker with the York - Adams County Mental Health/Mental Retardation organization. Currently, Ms. Spence is the owner of an Adams County apple orchard.
Ms. Spence established this scholarship to help students, especially Adams County residents, to prepare for a career in elementary education. It is the desire of the benefactor that each recipient of the Sandra K. Spence Scholarship will demonstrate a strong desire and willingness to serve future generations of students.
