Tim and Jill Smith
Raised in Fairfax, Virginia, by a teacher and former professor, Tim Smith knew the value of a high-quality education, which is why he chose Shippensburg University. He graduated in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science in Education. Tim is President of OnPoint Consulting, Inc., a leading technology consulting firm that provides critical thinking, strategic analysis, and thought leadership to the federal government, including the Department of Defense, State, and the Intelligence Community.
Tim's motivation to establish a scholarship is clear. "My education at Shippensburg University was instrumental in my development - I would not be where I am today without it. As a business leader, I look for individuals prepared with the skills and qualifications I learned at Shippensburg University. But I also know of the need for qualified, well-educated engineering students. I am committed to the Engineering program at this university and want to see students take advantage of the program."
