G. Radcliffe and Marian B. Schultz

G. Radcliffe and Marian B. Schultz established this scholarship to support students of promise who are registered with the Social Equity Office. The scholarship honors their daughter who successfully overcame her learning disabilities to obtain her bachelor’s degree in social work in 1996 and her Master's degree in Special Education in 1998.
The Schultz’s have strong family connections to Shippensburg University. Two other children graduated from Ship with bachelor’s degrees in GeoEnvironmental Studies and Computer Science. In addition, a son-in-law, earned his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in history.  Dr. Marian B. Schultz obtained her master’s degree in public administration in 1988 and her mother earned her B.S. in School Nursing in 1957, a B.S. in Elementary Education in 1964, and an M.S. in Elementary Education in 1974.
Dr. Schultz worked at Shippensburg University from 1980 until her retirement in 2012 as the Dean of Academic Programs and Services.
Mr. Schultz, a graduate of Penn State University, came to appreciate and value how a Shippensburg University education can transform lives and provide many academic and career opportunities by observing the experience of his family.
