While a student at Shippensburg State College, Craig Loundas '81, worked as a desk assistant and then a Resident Assistant (RA) in Mowrey Hall. After receiving his master's degree in 1983, Dr. Loundas launched a career in student affairs, culminating as dean of student life at Widener University before beginning a second career in organizational development. Being an RA was the best job he ever had, and Dr. Loundas credits his RA experience at Shippensburg for framing his community development and problem solving skills that were a foundation throughout his career. This scholarship was established to support a Resident Assistant at Shippensburg University who continues to build community and be a resource for students.
