They both decided to enroll at Shippensburg University to continue their education. Brian pursued a B.S. in Business (B.S.B.A) while Ellen majored in Education (B.S.Ed.). Both graduated, Magna Cum Laude, with the Class of 1980. He was also a member of the SU track team his freshman year and a member of the Acacia Fraternity all four years. Ellen, who received the Pauline Klaus Scholarship for Foreign Language, was an enthusiastic member of the marching band during her time at SU and also a member of the Delta Zeta Sorority.
