Brian L. Heckler
Brian Heckler attended Shippensburg University, graduating in May 1984 Summa Cum Laude from the College of Business with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration-Accounting degree. While at Shippensburg, Brian enjoyed this peaceful corner of South Central Pennsylvania and the opportunities to enjoy academic development, extracurricular activities with the Yearbook and Theater, and forming relationships on campus and through Greek affiliations.
Leaving Shippensburg, Brian started his career at Peat Marwick, Mitchell in Harrisburg and continued his career with KPMG LLP in Harrisburg, New York, and Chicago. He also served as an Associate Chief Accountant at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission as a Professional Accounting Fellow. He currently serves as the National Industry Sector leader for KPMG’s Industrial Manufacturing practice.
Important to Brian’s ability to complete his education was the financial support he received from the Pennsylvania CPA Foundation Scholarship, The Crouse Business Scholarship, and work study funding. The Brian L. Heckler Accounting Scholarship is intended to provide undergraduate or graduate students majoring in accounting with similar financial support.
