Marie McDonald and David Cziraky
Marie R. McDonald was a four-year letter winner of the Shippensburg University women's basketball team, playing during the 1993 through 1997 seasons. She was a proud member of the 1996 NCAA Division II National Runner-Up women's basketball team, and was awarded the Gwendolyn Baker Scholar Athlete Award.
After graduating from Shippensburg University with a degree in Business, Marie went on to serve in leadership positions at Clarkston Consulting, Quintiles, and IQVIA, working and residing throughout the United States and Europe. In 2014, Marie was selected as Quintiles's Healthcare Businesswomen's Association Rising Star. The same year, she was also recognized as a Shippensburg University Outstanding Young Alumnus. Marie continues to enjoy a professionally rewarding career with IQVIA. In 2014, Marie married David A. Cziraky.
In 2021, Marie was inspired to create the McDonald Cziraky Women's Basketball Scholarship because of her experience as a women's basketball scholarship recipient. She was also a student of Dr. Richard Stone, who established the Dr. Richard D. Stone Women's Basketball Scholarship and was motivated by his generosity.
