William C. Rodruan

William C. Rodruan grew up in Shillington, PA, graduating from Governor Mifflin High School.  In 1976, he graduated from Shippensburg State Teachers College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He started his career at Armstrong Cork Company (which was later re-named Armstrong World Industries, Inc.) in Lancaster PA. He remained at Armstrong for the next 37 years, progressing through 15 different positions, retiring in May 2013.
Looking back, Bill believes his Armstrong career was successful due to many factors. He was supported every step of the way by a loving family. He worked hard. Many friends and work associates provided encouragement and direction. But he also feels that the education received at Shippensburg contributed much to his success. It's because of this that Bill wanted to give back to Shippensburg.  His scholarship has one goal in mind: to encourage the recipients to apply themselves to the best of their ability in whatever they do. This is not limited to just their work career, but in all aspects of their life. "My challenge to you is to make a difference, using the great education you are
receiving at Shippensburg as a foundation."
