Robert and Miriam Goodling
Robert E. Goodling graduated from Shippensburg State Teachers College in 1955 with a bachelor’s degree in education. While education was important to him, Mr. Goodling’s career path led him to real estate development, which became a family business. He has been a successful businessman in Cumberland County for decades.
Bob and his wife, Mimi, are devoted philanthropists of education, the arts, and human services in central Pennsylvania. They are active volunteers who have held leadership positions with numerous community organizations.
Knowing the importance of education, Bob and Mimi created this scholarship to support deserving students pursuing a degree in education. They realize that life can lead you in different directions, so there is no expectation or obligation to teach following graduation.
