Since 2012, Volvo Construction Equipment North America, LLC, has benefited the local community through the creation of thousands of jobs and other opportunities in Shippensburg, including internships for Shippensburg students. Shippensburg University, as part of its mission, strives to develop relationships and programs that will address the needs of the region and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. To strengthen the synergistic relationship between Volvo and the University, and to demonstrate the company’s commitment to education, Volvo has established this scholarship/internship program to benefit academically talented students at Shippensburg University and to help them compete in a global economy and technologically evolving world.
