Col. Joseph Cretella
Col. Joseph Cretella served in the United States Army for 30 years. Following his retirement from the military, Joe served as the head of the Shippensburg University's division of admissions and enrollment management for 15 years. He and his wife, Margaret (Peggy) Cretella, were married for 50 years and have three daughters. He established the Margaret (Peggy) Handel Cretella Scholarship in Peggy's memory to recognize her commitment and dedication to teaching young children to read.
