Dr. John G. Kooti
Dr. John G. Kooti, Dean of the John L. Grove College of Business, has endowed the Kooti Family College of Business Scholarship to provide scholarship assistance to students pursuing undergraduate degrees in the John L. Grove College of Business at Shippensburg University.
Dr. Kooti joined Shippensburg University in 2010 and has served with distinction as Dean of the College of Business for fifteen years, guiding the college through significant program growth, curriculum innovation, and an enhanced national reputation. Under his leadership, the college achieved numerous milestones, including the expansion of graduate and undergraduate programs, strengthened experiential learning opportunities, and renewed accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
Throughout his tenure, Dr. Kooti has cherished the opportunity to work closely with students, faculty, alumni, and the Shippensburg University Foundation. His commitment to preparing principled leaders for today’s global business environment, and his deep appreciation for the supportive and collegial atmosphere of Shippensburg University, inspired the Kooti family to establish this scholarship. John and his wife, Lisa, are the proud parents of three sons: AJ, Cameron’17, and John ’18. Both Cameron and John are accomplished graduates of the John L. Grove College of Business.
