Shippensburg University Scholarship Search and Applications

At Shippensburg University, our mission is to make college accessible for all students, and one way we do that is through scholarships and grants. Our Shippensburg University Foundation scholarships and grants give deserving students the opportunity to pursue their dreams, and our institutional scholarships provide additional support to high-achieving students.

Current students and prospective students who are admitted to the university may apply for Shippensburg University Foundation scholarships, but all are welcome to view our scholarship opportunities using the “Explore Scholarships” button below. Please note that only current students are eligible to complete applications for the Student Educator Resource Fund, Internship Opportunity Fund and the Student Emergency Fund when they are available.

Student Emergency Fund - The application for the fall 2025 semester will open after the PA state grants have been issued by PHEAA. If you have a situation that requires immediate attention, please contact Stacey Paul at sgpaul@sufoundation.org.

The Student Emergency Fund was established with donor contributions to the Shippensburg University Foundation to assist undergraduate students who have immediate financial needs that directly affect their ability to continue their education at Shippensburg University. This fund is intended to be a supplemental financial resource when students are unable to meet immediate and essential expenses due to times of crisis such as illness or death of a family member, medical emergency, or job loss.  This is NOT a scholarship. Students may apply for funds when they have exhausted all other financial resources. This fund is not meant to replace financial aid, and does not need to be repaid. Funding is awarded on a case by case basis, and factors that are considered include the student's financial need, the nature of the funding request, and the availability of funding at the time the request is made. The fund is open to all students with priority given to students with the highest financial need. A maximum amount of $500 may be requested each academic semester, and students must re-apply each semester for which they are requesting funding.

Financial needs may include assistance paying for tuition, campus meal plan, or student housing. Grants from the Student Emergency Fund may not be used to pay for student fees (i.e. student activity fee, technology fee, wellness fee, student union fee, parking fines, etc.). Students will be notified by email if they are selected to receive a grant from the Student Emergency Fund.

To apply for a grant from the Student Emergency Fund, select the "Apply Now" button below and complete the Student Emergency Fund grant application for the appropriate academic semester.
