Student Emergency Fund - Fall 2022 (You must be enrolled for the fall 2022 semester to complete the application.)
The Student Emergency Fund was established with donor contributions to the Shippensburg University Foundation to assist undergraduate students who have immediate financial needs that directly affect their ability to continue their education at Shippensburg University. This fund is intended to be a supplemental financial resource when students are unable to meet immediate and essential expenses due to times of crisis such as illness or death of a family member, medical emergency, or job loss. Students may apply for funds when they have exhausted all other financial resources. This fund is not meant to replace financial aid, and does not need to be repaid. Funding is awarded on a case by case basis, and factors that are considered include the student's financial need, the nature of the funding request, and the availability of funding at the time the request is made. The fund is open to all students with priority given to students with the highest financial need. A maximum amount of $500 may be requested each academic semester, and students must re-apply each semester for which they are requesting funding.
Financial needs may include assistance with purchasing textbook and/or course-related materials, paying for tuition, campus meal plan, or student housing. Grants from the Student Emergency Fund may not be used to pay for student fees (i.e. student activity fee, technology fee, wellness fee, student union fee, parking fines, etc.). Students will be notified by email if they are selected to receive a grant from the Student Emergency Fund.
To apply for a grant from the Student Emergency Fund, select the "Apply Now" button below and complete the Student Emergecy Fund grant application for the appropriate academic semester.
