Scholarship Search

The 1981 Football Team Scholarship is for incoming freshmen student-athletes who intend to become members in good standing of Shippensburg University’s football team. Each recipient must also meet all applicable NCAA, PSAC, and Shippensburg University regulations. This scholarship is awarded through SU Athletics.

The Abraham K. Smith Outstanding Student Scholarship is for incoming freshmen with a 1200 SAT score and class rank in the top 10 percent.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

This scholarship is for students from underrepresented populations enrolled in the Academic Success Program at Shippensburg University who have completed at least sixty (60) credits prior to benefitting from the scholarship. Recipients must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above, and demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA. 

This scholarship is for entering full-time, first-year students pursuing an undergraduate degree in education administered by the College of Education and Human Services. The recipient must have a minimum GPA of 2.8 and demonstrate financial need by submitting the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

The Alan D. Potena Memorial Scholarship is for incoming first-year students with a minimum 1000 SAT score and class rank in the upper 20 percent, majoring in Communication/Journalism (broadcasting). Financial need is also taken into consideration. First preference is given to students from Adams, Bucks, and York counties, Pennsylvania.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The Albert A. Mason, Sr. Journalism Award is for a sophomore or junior majoring in Journalism with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 who has been active in extracurricular activities associated with his/her field of study.  Please contact the Chair of the Communication/Journalism Department for more information.  This is a one-year scholarship.

The Albert Lindsay Rowland and Ruth Hodge Scholarship is for incoming freshmen with a 1000 SAT score and class rank in the upper 20 percent, entering an undergraduate degree program administered by the College of Education and Human Services.  Students must be registered with the SU Office of Accessibility Resources.   The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

This scholarship is for an incoming full-time, first-year student from Tussey Mountain High School in Saxton, Pennsylvania. Second preference will be given to students residing in Bedford County, Pennsylvania. Recipients must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 and demonstrate financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

The Amanda K. Strous Memorial Field Hockey Scholarship is for seniors in good standing, who are members of SU's field hockey team. Each recipient must also meet all applicable NCAA, PSAC, and nstitutional regulations. Recipients must exemplify the following characteristics: positive team player and desire to improve their skills, willingness to help others both on and off the field, strong bond of love for family and SU field hockey family. This scholarship is awarded through SU Athletics

This scholarship is for students from Pennsylvania majoring in Early Childhood/Elementary Education (PK-4) with a preference for a reading minor. Applicants must have a minimum SAT score of 1100, a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, and rank in the top 50 percent of their high school class. Applicants must demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA.

The Angle-Feeser Family Scholarship is for incoming first-year students with a cumulative high school GPA of 3.0 or above. The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The Angus Family Scholarship is for incoming first-year students majoring in Teacher Education or a degree in the College of Business. Applicants must have an 1100 SAT score, a cumulative GPA of 3.0, and rank in the top 20 percent of their high school class. Preference will be given to students who have been active in clubs and organizations or who have volunteered in the local community. Applicants must demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The Anna Davis and David C. Smith Scholarship is for incoming first-year student with a 1050 SAT score and class rank in the upper 50 percent majoring in Teacher Education. Preference will be given to 1. graduates of the Mt. Lebanon School District 2. graduates of Perry or Juniata County i. enrolling in Shippensburg University’s English Department (Secondary Education), ii. pursuing teacher certification in another Secondary Education field, iii. enrolling in Shippensburg University’s Elementary Education Department  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The Annabel Heberlig Eisenberg Scholarship is presented to incoming first-year students pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in education within the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science. Recipients must have scored a minimum of 1100 on the SAT examination and graduated in the upper 20 percent of their high school class.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

Recipients of the Anthony F. and Valerie Ceddia Leadership Scholarship must be full-time junior or senior undergraduates who have demonstrated leadership within a campus organization during the early part of his or her campus experience and have demonstrated good character and citizenship.  Please contact the Campus Life office for more information. . The scholarship may be retained through the student's senior year, if awarded to a junior, providing the student maintains eligible.

The Barbara Jones Swartley Memorial Scholarship is for incoming students, with financial need, majoring in Elementary/Middle Level Education.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The Benjamin S. and Elizabeth R. Nispel Scholarship is for entering full-time, first-year students pursuing an undergraduate major administered by the College of Arts and Sciences. Recipients must have a minimum GPA of 3.2.

The Bennie S. Truax Scholarship is for students with 90 credits and a mimimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average  who are in their second year of service on the Shippensburg University Band staff and demonstrate leadership and dedication through their activities in the marching band and/or concert band. The Biology Senior Award is for Biology majors who have completed 85 credits or more, 60 of which were earned at Shippensburg University (including those earned at any college while a high school student) prior to the first semester during which they receive the award. Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5.  Preference given to students with demonstrated contributions to the department and/or community.  Please contact the Chair of the Biology Department for more information.

This scholarship is for entering full-time, first-year students pursing an undergraduate degree program administered by the John L. Grove College of Business. Recipients must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2, and must demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA. 

This scholarship is for an entering full-time, first-year student majoring in elementary education. First preference will be given to students residing in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania, with second preference given to students residing in any county in Pennsylvania. Students must demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA. This scholarship may be retained for four years providing the recipient meets all retention criteria.

This scholarship is for junior or senior-level students who have completed at least 60 credits prior to benefitting from the scholarship. Recipients must be enrolled in a degree program administered by the John L. Grove College of Business, have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher, and be a member in good standing of a social fraternity or sorority.

The Brian Christman Memorial Scholarship for the Department of Music and Theater Arts is for students enrolled in any undergraduate degree program at Shippensburg University. Students must demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA. Applicants must demonstrate an ability and aptitude for the performing arts and must audition in their area of expertise and declare a Music or Theater minor if awarded the scholarship. The Brian L. Heckler Accounting Scholarship is for incoming first-year students majoring in accounting with a minimum 1100 SAT score, a cumulative GPA of 3.0, and class rank in the upper 20 percent. Applicants must demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

This scholarship is for an incoming full-time, first-year student who is pursuing an undergraduate degree administered by the John L. Grove College of Business. Recipients must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 and demonstrate financial need by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Recipients should also demonstrate leadership, initiative, self-reliance and an interest in volunteer community service.

The Brooke Ashley Weaver Memorial Scholarship is for incoming first-year students with a minimum SAT score of 1100 and class rank in the upper 20 percent who are enrolled in an undergraduate degree program administered by the John L. Grove College of Business. Applicants must demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA , and display good character and citizenship. The recipient must have participated, on a voluntary basis, in at least one community service activity.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

This scholarship is awarded to incoming first-year student-athletes who intend to become members in good standing of Shippensburg University’s men's basketball team. Each recipient must also meet all applicable NCAA, PSAC, and Shippensburg University regulations and demonstrate good character and citizenship. This scholarship is awarded through SU Athletics.

The Carl A. Naugle Family Graduate Fellowship is for a full-time graduate student, with a 3.2 cumulative GPA in their undergraduate degree, pursuing a Master of Science degree in either college student personnel work or college counseling.  Please contact the Counseling and College Student Personnel Department for more information.  The scholarship may be retained for two years providing the student maintains a 3.2 QPA.

This scholarship is for full-time first-year students pursuing an undergraduate degree in early childhood education Pre-K-4th grade. Applicants must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, have a minimum SAT score of 1100, and rank in the top fifty percent of their high school class. Applicants must reside in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA.

This scholarship is for entering full-time first-year students majoring in elementary education or English with secondary education certification. Preference will be given to students majoring in elementary education. Recipients must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA. This scholarship may be retained for four academic years providing the recipient meets retention criteria.

This scholarship is for incoming full-time, first-year students pursuing an undergraduate degree in education administered by the College of Education and Human Services. Recipients must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 and demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA.

The Catharine H. Ellenberger Scholarship is presented to a full-time graduate student in the Counseling Program at Shippensburg University pursuing a Master of Education degree and specializing in the Elementary School Counseling or in the Secondary School Counseling Program.  Please contact the Counseling Department for more information.  

The Charles H. Diller, Jr. and Jane Eagle Diller Scholarship is $20,000 ($5,000 per year for four years) for incoming first-year students from East Pennsboro High School with a minimum GPA of 3.0. First preference will be given to students pursuing a major in entrepreneurship in the John L. Grove College of Business. Second preference will be given to students pursuing any undergraduate major administered by the John L. Grove College of Business.  Students must demonstrate financial need by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).  The scholarship may be retained for a total of four consecutive academic years if retention criteria is met.

The Charles H. Diller, Jr. and Jane Eagle Diller Scholarship is $20,000 ($5,000 per year for four years) for incoming first-year students from Mechanicsburg Area Senior High School with a minimum GPA of 3.0. First preference will be given to students pursuing a major in entrepreneurship in the John L. Grove College of Business. Second preference will be given to students pursuing any undergraduate major administered by the John L. Grove College of Business.  Students must demonstrate financial need by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).  The scholarship may be retained for a total of four consecutive academic years if retention criteria is met.

The Charles H. Diller, Jr. and Jane Eagle Diller Scholarship is $20,000 ($5,000 per year for four years) for incoming first-year students from Cumberland Valley High School with a minimum GPA of 3.0. First preference will be given to students pursuing a major in entrepreneurship in the John L. Grove College of Business. The Chris and Robin Pruitt College of Business Scholarship is for incoming first-year students with an 1100 SAT score and class rank in the upper 20 percent, entering an undergraduate degree program administered by the John L. Grove College of Business. Recipients must demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The Christine Picklo Scholarship is for incoming students with a 3.0 cumulative GPA entering an undergraduate degree program in the following majors: Biology, Biology Secondary Ed., Applied Physics, Chemistry, Chemistry Secondary Ed., Physics, or Physics Secondary Ed. Applicants must demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The recipient of the Christopher Heilman World Cup Award must be a member in good standing of Shippensburg University's football team. It will be awarded to an athlete who demonstrates leadership, both on and off the field; inspirational character; and perseverance. The recipient should be that athlete who, as a role model, inspires others to do their best, and promotes the type of team unity that carries beyond his playing days.  This scholarship is awarded through SU Athletics.

Current Clarence Schock Scholarship recipients in their junior year of study are eligible for the Clarence Schock Fellowship Program. 

Through their credentials and portfolio, students should demonstrate:

• strong evidence of academic achievement
• public service
• commitments to environmental preservation
• enhancing the quality of life in the communities where they live and study
• demonstrate an understanding of Clarence Schock’s respect for education and personal philanthropy

For incoming first-year students with academic promise residing in the Clarence Schock heartland, which includes Adams, Berks, Chester, Cumberland, Dauphin, Delaware, Lancaster, Lebanon, and York counties in Pennsylvania. Applicants who do not live in one of these areas may still qualify if graduating from one of the following high schools: Shippensburg, Boyertown, Spring Ford, or Williams Valley in Pennsylvania, or Delmar in Delaware.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The Class of 1908-Earle H. Scheaffer Scholarship is for a student who has completed his/her sophomore or junior year and has demonstrated academic excellence, good character, leadership skills, and an interest in the teaching profession.  This is a one year only scholarship.

The Class of 1933 Scholarship is given to a sophomore or junior education major based on financial need, academic excellence, good character, and participation in extracurricular activities.  Please contact the Chair of the Education Department for more information.  This is a one-year only scholarship.

The Class of 1949 - Dr. J. Bernard Hogg Memorial Scholarship is for incoming first-year students with a 1000 SAT score and class rank in the top 20 percent, residing in Pennsylvania, and majoring in Teacher Education. Financial need must be demonstrated by completing the FAFSA.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The Class of 1950 Scholarship is for incoming first-year students with a 1000 SAT score and class rank in the top 20 percent and majoring in Teacher Education.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The Class of 1954 Scholarship is for incoming first-year students with a 1000 SAT score and class rank in the top 20 percent and majoring in Teacher Education.

The Class of 1955 Scholarship is for incoming first-year students residing in Pennsylvania and majoring in Teacher Education. Financial need must be demonstrated by completing the FAFSA.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The Class of 1958 Scholarship is for incoming first-year students residing in Pennsylvania with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Applicants should demonstrate good character and citizenship.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

This scholarship is awarded to incoming first-year student-athletes who intend to become members in good standing of Shippensburg University’s wrestling team or who are current members in good standing of Shippensburg University’s wrestling team. Each recipient must also meet all applicable NCAA, PSAC, and Shippensburg University regulations and demonstrate good character, leadership qualities and a sense of purpose in life beyond wrestling.  This scholarship is awarded through SU Athletics.

This scholarship is for a student who is a member in good standing of the Shippensburg University cheerleading squad. The recipient must meet all applicable Shippensburg University athletic standards and regulations. The recipient should also demonstrate good character and citizenship, while maintaining a positive attitude and a spirit of school pride as a Shippensburg University student and member of the Shippensburg University cheerleading squad.

The Computer Science Scholarship is for incoming students, preferably first-year students, who are computer science majors. Recipient selection is based on ability and projected promise only.  This scholarship is available for one year only.

The Craig K. Swavely Memorial Scholarship is for incoming first-year students with a 1000 SAT score and class rank in the upper 20 percent who demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA. Preference is given to 1. graduates of Antietam School District and the Exeter School District 2. graduates from Berks County, Pennsylvania.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

This scholarship is for full-time incoming first-year students who are pursuing an undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education:Pre-kindergarten-fourth grade or Art Education. Current students are also eligible if they recently switched to one of the designated majors. Applicants must be residents of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The scholarship may be retained for up to five academic years if the the recipients remains enrolled as a full-time students, continues to pursue a designated major, remains a resident of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and maintains the minimum GPA requirement.

The recipient of the Crouse Geo-Environmental Science Scholarship must have a minimum GPA of 3.2 within their major and must have achieved junior status (60+ credit hours completed) prior to receiving this scholarship. This scholarship is renewable for the recipient’s senior year provided they maintain the required GPA and remain enrolled in the Geoenvironmental Studies program. The Darby D. and Joseph H. Muggio Scholarship is for incoming first-year students with a 1100 SAT score and class rank in the upper 25 percent, majoring in Elementary Education. Applicants must demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

This scholarship is for current students who have completed a minimum of thirty (30) credits at Shippensburg University prior to benefiting from the scholarship. Recipients must be pursuing an undergraduate degree administered by the John L. Grove College of Business and have a minimum GPA of 2.8. This scholarship may be retained if retention requirements are met.

This scholarship is for student-athletes who are members in good standing of the Shippensburg University men's and women's track and field teams or the Shippensburg University men's and women's cross country teams. Recipients must meet all applicable NCAA, PSAC and Shippensburg University regulations.

The David C. & Beverly F. Boose Scholarship is for incoming first-year students who intend to major in Elementary Education or History. Applicants must have an SAT score of 1100, a cumulative GPA of 3.0 and demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The David Cleeland See Memorial Soccer Scholarship is for an incoming first-year student who intends to become a member in good standing of SU's men's soccer team. Each recipient must also meet all applicable NCAA, PSAC, and institutional regulations and have a 2.0 QPA. This scholarship is awarded through SU Athletics.

This scholarship is for entering first-year students pursuing an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering from the Shippensburg University School of Engineering. Recipients must have a minimum GPA of 3.5. The scholarship may be retained for a total of four consecutive academic years, providing the recipient meets all retention criteria.

Recipients of the Dean David and Margaret Dolbin Football Scholarship must be incoming first-year student-athletes who intend to become members in good standing of Shippensburg University’s football team. Each recipient must also meet all applicable NCAA, PSAC, and Shippensburg University regulations. A recipient must have a minimum score of 1000 out of 1600 on the SAT (or equivalent) and have graduated in the upper one-quarter of their high school class.  This scholarship awarded through SU Athletics.

The Dean David and Margaret Dolbin Residence Life Scholarship annual scholarship is for a student serving in at least his or her second semester as an undergraduate Residence Assistant with satisfactory academic standing. Please contact the Campus Life office for more information.

The Dev Hathaway Memorial English Department Scholarship is presented to entering first-year student enrolled in an undergraduate degree program administered by the English Department. Recipients must have scored a minimum of 1300 on the SAT examination, graduated in the top fifth of their high school class, and achieved at least a 3.5 GPA in high school.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

This scholarship is for full-time undergraduate students majoring in supply chain management within the John L. Grove College of Business. Students must have completed a minimum of 60 credits at Shippensburg University prior to benefiting from the scholarship. 

Recipients of this one year scholarship must be a student-athlete who is a member in good standing of the women’s intercollegiate basketball program at Shippensburg University. A recipient must meet all applicable NCAA, conference, and institutional eligibility regulations and financial aid requirements. In the opinion of the head women’s basketball coach, every recipient should demonstrate good character and citizenship. This scholarship is awarded through SU Athletics.

The Dickinson Scholarship is for incoming first-year students, with a 950 SAT score and class rank in the upper 20 percent, residing in Bedford, Blair or Huntingdon County (PA), with priority consideration given to graduates of Tussey Mountain School District (Bedford County, PA).  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

For incoming first-year students from Tri-Valley High School (Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania) with preference for a student enrolled in the College of Business. Recipients must have achieved a minimum score of 1100 on the SAT examination and graduated in the upper one-fifth of their high school class.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The Dora Addams Scholarship is for incoming first-year students majoring in Art with a minimum SAT score of 1000 and rank in the top 20 percent of their high school class. Recipients must maintain a 2.8 cumulative GPA at the end of each academic year, complete a minimum of twelve credits per semester, and remain enrolled as an Art major.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The Dorothy S. Weaver Memorial Scholarship is for incoming first-year students majoring in Elementary or Secondary Education. Applicants are required to complete the FAFSA.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The Doug and  Angela Besch Scholarship is for accounting majors with a cumulative 3.0 GPA who have completed at least 60 credits at Shippensburg University prior to benefiting from the scholarship. Recipients must be citizens of the United States.  Please contact the Chair of the Accounting Department for more information. The scholarship may be retained through the student's senior year providing the student maintains a 3.0 GPA.

For incoming first-year students majoring in Elementary Education or Secondary Education with an SAT score of 1100 and a cumulative GPA of 3.0. Applicants must demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The Dr. Alfred V. Gunter Memorial Scholarship is for incoming or current first-year Biology majors with an 1100 SAT score and class rank in the upper 20 percent.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

This scholarship is for a full-time, first-year student majoring in political science. The recipient must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 and demonstrate activity/involvement in public service for the good of their community.

The Dr. and Mrs. Robert C. Harper Scholarship is for students completing 60 credits, with a 2.5 cumulative GPA, majoring in a degree offered in Geography/Earth Science Department.  Please contact the Geography Earth Science Department for more information. The scholarship may be retained through the student's senior year, if awarded to a junior, providing the student maintains a 2.5 GPA.

The Dr. Angelo and Mrs. Dolores Costanzo Scholarship is for incoming students with a 1050 SAT score and class rank in the upper 10 percent of their high school class.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The Dr. Bartos and Dr. Hockersmith College of Education & Human Services Dean's Scholarship is for students majoring in a degree offered in the College of Education and Human Services who have completed 60 credits before receiving the scholarship and who have a GPA or 3.0 or above.  Please contact the Dean's Office in the College of Education and Human Services. The scholarship may be retained through the student's senior year providing the student maintains a 3.0 QPA.

The Dr. Brenda M. Wheeler Memorial Scholarship is for juniors or seniors, who have acheived professional status, with a 3.0 GPA majoring in pre-kindergarten through fourth grade (elementary education) or fourth grade through eighth grade (middle level/elementary education). Applicants must demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA.  Please contact the chair of the Education Department for more information.  The scholarship may be retained through the student's senior year providing the student maintains a 3.0 QPA.

The Dr. Dilys Martha Jones Memorial Scholarship is for incoming first-year students majoring in teacher education with a class rank in the top 20 percent  and an 1000 SAT score.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

This scholarship is for entering full-time, first-year students pursuing an undergraduate degree administered by the John L. Grove College of Business. Recipients must have a minimum GPA of 3.2. This scholarship may be retained for four consecutive academic years providing the recipient meets all retention requirements.

The Dr. Edward S. Goodhart Scholarship is for incoming first-year students majoring in accounting with an 1200 SAT score and class rank in upper 20 percent of their high school class. Preference for graduates from the Shippensburg Area School District.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The Dr. Emil and Vera Bej Scholarship is for incoming first-year students majoring in Economics, who have graduated in the top 25 percent of their high school class. The Dr. Gerald A. Leidy Outstanding Student Scholarship is for incoming freshmen with a 1200 SAT score and class rank in the upper 10 percent, majoring in Elementary and/or Secondary Education.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The Dr. Harry D. and Virginia Schell Sweely Scholarship is for incoming first-year students with a 1100 SAT score and class rank in the upper 20 percent majoring in Elementary Education.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The Dr. Harry L. Kriner Memorial Scholarship is for an incoming freshman majoring in Elementary Education.  Recipients must demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The Dr. Hong and Mrs. Susan Young Rim Finance Scholarship is for incoming first-year students majoring in finance with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The Dr. Hugh M. and Kathryn Aberman Psychology Scholarship is for incoming first-year students majoring in Psychology who are residents of Pennsylvania. Applicants must have a 1200 SAT score, cumulative GPA of 3.25, and class rank in the top 20 percent. The Dr. Hugh M. and Kathryn Aberman Scholarship for a Honors College Student is for incoming first-year students who have been accepted into the Wood Honors College. Preference is given to students majoring in psychology. If there are no eligible students, the scholarship may be awarded to an Honors College student in any major.  Applicants must have a minimum SAT score of 1200 SAT, a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25, and rank in the top 20 percent of his or her high school class. Applicants must demonstrate good character, citizenship, and financial need by completing the FAFSA.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The  Dr. Irene Gnarra International Studies Scholarship is for a female student who has completed 15 credits and is majoring in International Studies with a concentration in Europe. Applicants must take two courses in French at the 200-level or higher while benefiting from this scholarship. Preference will be given to students from Allegheny or Beaver counties. This scholarship is for incoming full-time, first-year students pursuing an undergraduate major in computer science or computer engineering. Recipients must have a minimum GPA of 3.0. This scholarship may be retained for four consecutive academic years providing retention requirements are met each year.

The Dr. James R. and Phyllis B. Geyer Teacher Education Scholarship is for incoming Education majors with an 1100 SAT score and class rank in the upper 20 percent.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

Recipients of the Dr. Jane H. Ehemann Scholarship must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree administered by the Geography/Earth Science Department. Holman Science and Mathematics Education Scholarship is for students with 30 credits and a 3.0 cumulative grade point average, majoring in elementary/middle level education with a teaching concentration in science and/or mathematics. The Dr. Kimberly L. Bright Scholarship is for students currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program leading to a Certification or Masters in Special Education. Undergraduate students must have completed sixty (60) credits to qualify and have completed at least nine (9) credits of Special Education coursework.  Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0.  The scholarship may be retained through the undergraduate student's senior year or through completion of graduate courses providing the student remains eligible.

The Dr. Larry Klotz College of Arts and Sciences Scholarship is for students with a 3.25 GPA, who have completed 60 credits, transferred 60 credits from another college, and completed 15 credits at Shippensburg University prior to benefitting from this scholarship.  First preference will be given to students enrolled in a Biology major.  Preference will also be given to students demonstrating financial need. This scholarship may be renewed though the student's senior year providing a 3.25 GPA is maintained.

The Dr. Louise J. Lienemann Chemistry Scholarship is awarded to a junior chemistry major demonstrating academic excellence and an interest in pursing a graduate degree. Character, citizenship, and a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale are factors in selecting the recipient.  The scholarship may be retained through the student's senior year, if awarded to a junior, providing the student maintains a 3.5 GPA.

The Dr. Max E. and Nancy H. Creager Education Scholarship is for incoming first-year students from PA majoring in Elementary or Secondary Education with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 and an 1100 SAT score. Applicants must demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The Dr. Max G. Cooley Scholarship is for an Accounting major who has completed 60 credits and has a GPA of 3.0. The recipient should possess good character, citizenship, and must have a recommendation from a faculty member within the Accounting department.  The scholarship may be retained through the student's senior year, if awarded to a junior, providing the student maintains a 3.0 QPA.

The Dr. Mohandas Baliga Memorial Scholarship is for a junior majoring in Political Science who demonstrates academic excellence and promise of professional success.  This is a one-year scholarship.

The Dr. Nathan K. Mao Scholarship is for graduate or incoming freshman students who are of Chinese descent from Taiwan, Hong Kong or the People's Republic of China. If there are no candidates from the People's Republic of China, Taiwan or Hong Kong, preference will be given to American citizens of Chinese descent. Applicants must have a high school or collegiate cumulative GPA of 3.0 or home country equivalent. The scholarship is renewable providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The Dr. Parker '66 and Barbara Martin Scholarship is for students who have completed 60 credits at Shippensburg University and be enrolled in the BSEd in Special Education PreK-8 and the PreK-4 Early Childhood/Elementary Education or 4-8 Elementary/Middle Education dual certification program. Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 and demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA.

The Dr. Paul F. and Elizabeth Hoffeditz Cauffman Scholarship is an annual scholarship for a junior or senior mathematics education major who demonstrates outstanding academic excellence and personal qualities. Students must have a GPA of 2.9 or above to qualify.

The Dr. Paul L. and Mildred Hertzler Stone Scholarship is for incoming first-year students majoring in Elementary Education. Recipients must demonstrate good character and citizenship and show evidence of involvement in their community and extracurricular activities.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The Dr. Ray and Mrs. Marjorie Sunderland Study Abroad Scholarship is for undergraduate students majoring in Elementary or Secondary Education who desire to complete a student teaching assignment in an educational setting outside the United States of America. First preference is given to students studying in England, Scotland, or Wales. Student must complete the FAFSA to be considered for this scholarship. The Dr. Robert L. Hewitt Vision for Excellence in Social Work Scholarship is for a senior receiving his/her degree from the Social Work Department. Recipient must possess professional standing within the department, a 2.5 cumulative grade point average, and a 3.0 grade point average in social work. Recipient must demonstrate leadership ability and a commitment to the profession of social work. Financial need is also taken into consideration.

Dr. Ronald L. & Patricia Friese Finkenbinder Scholarship is for incoming first-year students enrolled in the PreK-4 grade dual certification in Special Education with an SAT score of 1100 and a cumulative GPA of 3.0. This scholarship is for an upper division student pursuing an undergraduate degree administered by the Chemistry Department of Shippensburg University. The one-year Fogelsonger Scholarship is presented to a full-time student enrolled in an undergraduate degree program administered by the John L. Grove College of Business at Shippensburg University.  It is awarded to a student who plans to pursue a career in the insurance and/or financial services industry. The recipient of this scholarship must have achieved at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

The Frances M. Banks Memorial Scholarship  scholarship is presented to a second-semester first-year student or sophomore student with a minimum 2.0 GPA and financial need. The Frank E. and Johanna G. Reeder Scholarship is for incoming first-year students majoring 1. in any degree program in the College of Arts and Sciences or the College of Education and Human Services or 2. the College of Business. The Franklin O. Wisman Finance Scholarship is for incoming freshmen with an 1100 SAT score, 3.0 cumulative GPA and class rank in the upper 20 percent majoring in Finance. Recipients will participate in the Investment Management Program in their senior year. The Frederick and Ann Reddig Potthoff Scholarship is for incoming first-year students with a minimum 3.2 GPA, an 1100 SAT score and class rank in the upper 20 percent, majoring in any degree in the John L. The George C. and Patricia R. Hoopy Scholarship is for incoming first-year students with an 1100 SAT score and rank in the upper 20 percent of their class. The Glenn S. and Susan Robertson Minick Scholarship is for incoming first-year students majoring in Elementary or Secondary Education with an 1100 SAT score and class rank in the upper 20 percent.  Financial need must be demonstrated by completing the FAFSA.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

This book award is for incoming first-year students from underrepresented populations who reside in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and are entering an undergraduate degree program administered by the Department of Education in the College of Education and Human Services. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 and rank in to the top 50 percent of their high school class. Applicants must also demonstrate financial need by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

The Grant and Susan Conaway Blowers Memorial Scholarship is for an incoming first-year students from Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania, with an 1100 SAT score and class rank of 20 percent.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

First preference is for an incoming first-year students with a minimum 3.0 GPA and class rank of 25 percent, enrolled in a degree program in the College of Education and Human Services or the John L. Grove College of Business, and who intend to become members of the SU Football team. Second preference is for sophomore students who have a minimum 3.0 GPA, enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in the College of Education and Human Services or the John L. Grove College of Business, and are members of the SU Football team. The H.O.P.E. This scholarship is awarded to incoming first-year student-athletes who intend to become members in good standing of Shippensburg University’s baseball team. The Harold U. and Helen F. Crouse Business Scholarship is a scholarship for a John L. Grove College of Business student who has completed a minimum of 60 credits, maintained a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 and a 3.0 grade point average within his/her major, and demonstrated strong leadership abilities.  This is a one-year non-renewable scholarship.

The Harriet Wylie Stewart Scholarship is for a graduate of the Shippensburg Area School District with first preference given to applicants from the Middle Spring community. The recipient must demonstrate academic excellence, outstanding character, and citizenship. The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The Harry and Elizabeth Chapman Scholarship is for incoming first-year students from Pennsylvania, preferably Cumberland Valley High School graduates, with an 1100 SAT score and class rank in the upper 15 percent of their high school class. The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria

The Helen I. Lower Elementary Education Scholarship is for incoming first-year students with a 1000 SAT score and class rank in the top 40 percent, majoring in Elementary Education who demonstrate financial need and academic promise.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

 

The Henry and Estella Stoudt Scholarship is for incoming first-year students graduating from Huntingdon Area School District who have an outstanding academic record. Applicants must demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA. The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The Henry and Estella Stoudt Scholarship is for incoming first-year students graduating from Juniata Valley School District who have an outstanding academic record. Applicants must demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The Herman and Regina Walter Memorial Scholarship is for incoming first-year students graduating from the Lebanon School District who are majoring in Communication/Journalism.  Applicants must demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA. The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The History Department Scholarship is for students with at least 60 credits, a 3.25 cumulative GPA, majoring in an undergraduate degree program administered by the History Department.

Applicants must submit:

• a portfolio, record or other evidence of their work in their history courses
• a brief application essay outlining their qualifications for the scholarship

This scholarship is for incoming full-time, first-year students from Monroe County, Pennsylvania. Recipients must have a minimum 2.8 GPA on a 4.0 scale. First preference will be given to students who demonstrate financial need.

The Ignatios and Anastasia Prokop & John L. Prokop Scholarship is for incoming first-year students with an SAT score of 1000 and class rank in the upper 20 percent, who are majoring in Management Information Systems or English Secondary Education. Priority is given to students from Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, and York counties.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The Ivin S. and Virginia D. Bear Scholarship is for incoming first-year students who are residents of one of the following counties in central Pennsylvania: Adams, Columbia, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Fulton, Juniata, Lancaster, Lebanon, Montour, Northumberland, Perry, or York and who demonstrate high promise and good academic credentials. Financial need must be demonstrated by completing the FAFSA.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The J. Stewart and Jane G. Askins Scholarship is for incoming first-year students with preference given to 1. students residing in the area served by Shippensburg Area School District or 2. students from the Chambersburg Area School District. Applicants must demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The J. Thomas Markley '56 Scholarship is for incoming first-year students with an 1100 SAT score, class rank in the top 20 percent, majoring in a degree within the Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics or Physics Departments. Applicants must demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The Jack A. and Esther L. Meloy Memorial Scholarship is for entering first-year students majoring in Elementary or Secondary Education who have a 3.0 cumulative GPA and a class rank in the upper 25 percent, and demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA. Preference given to students graduating from 1. Huntingdon County 2. Bedford County 3. Blair County.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The Jack A. and Mildred Prince Squires Scholarship is for students with 60 credits and a 3.0 cumulative GPA enrolled in an undergraduate degree program administered by the John L. Grove College of Business. The scholarship may be retained through the student's senior year providing the student maintains a 3.0 QPA.

For members in good standing or incoming first-year students who intend to become a member of SU's football team. Each recipient must also meet all applicable NCAA, PSAC, and instititional regulations. Scholarship awarded through SU Athletics.

The Jack and Margaret Lemmon Memorial Scholarship is for incoming first-year students majoring in criminal justice or social work. Applicant must be a resident of the United States. The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The Jack Ford Scholarship is awarded to a full-time graduate student within the Geography/Earth Science Department who will complete at least six graduate credits during the semester in which he/she benefits from the scholarship.

The Jameel R. Johnson ROTC Scholarship is for students with 60 credits and a minimum 2.75 cumulative GPA, who are citizens of the United States, and are contracted into the ROTC program at Shippensburg University with a focused intent to serve as a commissioned officer for at least 4 years in the US Army. The James A. Gehr Family Scholarship is for incoming first-year students majoring in any degree program in the John L. Grove College of Business who have an minimum SAT score of 1000 and a cumulative GPA of 3.2. Applicants must be legal residents of Pennsylvania. The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

This award is presented annually to a senior female varsity athlete who holds a high academic average after the completion of seven semesters at Shippensburg University and who also exemplifies high standards of character, sportsmanship, and leadership in the total women’s athletic program. Scholarship awarded through SU Athletics.

This scholarship is for full-time first-year students pursuing an undergraduate degree administered by the Education Department. First preference will be given to students from Pennsylvania residing in Philadelphia or Delaware Counties. Second preference will be given to students from Pennsylvania residing in Chester, Montgomery or Bucks Counties. Recipients must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 and demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA.

This scholarship is for a full-time, first-year student pursuing an undergraduate degree in education administered by the College of Education and Human Services. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 and demonstrate financial need by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be considered for this scholarship. This scholarship may be retained for up to four consecutive academic years provided the recipient meets the requirements to retain the scholarship.

For a senior student-athlete who is a member of the SU field hockey team. Recipient must exemplify high standards of character and sportsmanship while demonstrating team leadership and bringing benefit to SU's womens athletic program. Scholarship awarded through SU Athletics.

The Janet Chapman Muscarella Scholarship is for incoming first-year students with an SAT score of 1100 and a cumulative GPA of 3.0, majoring in Biology. Applicants must demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

This scholarship is for entering full-time first-year students pursuing an undergraduate degree administered by the Education Department. Recipients must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 This scholarship may be retained for four years providing the recipient meets the retention criteria.

The  Janice Tarner Crawford Memorial Scholarship is for incoming first-year students from Pennsylvania with preference for students from Franklin, Lehigh, or Northampton counties enrolling as biology or chemistry majors with a medical technology preference.  Financial need must be demonstrated by completing the FAFSA.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

This award is for a student-athlete who is a member of the women's tennis team. The recipient must be a first-year student, sophomore or junior who is dedicated to their sport through a strong work ethic, exhibits good sportsmanship, demonstrates strong leadership skills and be a team player. The recipient must all meet all NCAA, PSAC, and Shippensburg University regulations.

The Jeff and Sharon Lee Student Scholarship is for incoming first-year students with a minimum SAT score of 950, a 3.0 GPA, and who have demonstrated financial need by completing the FAFSA. Preference for students graduating from the Philadelphia Public School System.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The Joan Hilkert Memorial Scholarship is for a Political Science major who has earned a minimum of 60 credits. This is a one-year scholarship.  Please contact the Political Science Department for more information.

For (1) incoming first-year students or (2) current student-athletes who intend to become, or are, members in good standing of SU's wrestling team. Each recipient must also meet all applicable NCAA, PSAA and institutional regulations. Scholarship awarded through SU Athletics.

The John A. Pringle Criminal Justice Scholarship is for an incoming first-year student majoring in criminal justice with a minimum SAT score of  1100 and class rank in the upper 10 percent.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

This scholarship is for an upper division student who has completed at least 60 credits prior to benefitting from the scholarship. Applicants must be enrolled in an undergraduate marketing, management or accounting degree program administered by the John L. Grove College of Business. First preference will be given to a transfer student from Harrisburg Area Community College who completed the course work for an associate degree in business. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.2 and complete an official, compensated internship with the Shaner Group.

The John G. and Julia F. Geiling Memorial Scholarship is for incoming full-time first-year students with SAT scores of 1200 or more who rank in the upper 10 percent of their high school class. The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The John L. and Cora I. Grove Scholars Program is for incoming first-year student enrolled in the John L. Grove College of Business with an 1100 SAT score and class rank in the upper 20 percentile. The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

Transfer students with 60 credits and a 3.5 grade point average from their previous college or university are also eligible. 

The John M. and Shirley Aichele Scholarship is for transfer students who have completed at least one year at Harrisburg Area Community College. Preference for applicants graduating from a high school located in Derry Township, Dauphin County, or from Lower Dauphin High School, Dauphin County. Applicants must have an 1100 SAT score and a 3.0 cumulative GPA from Harrisburg Area Community College.  The scholarship may be retained until the student's senior year providing the student remains eligible.

This scholarship is for entering full-time first-year students pursuing an undergraduate degree in one of the sciences, mathematics or computer science. First preference will be given to students from Halifax Area High School in Halifax, Pennsylvania. Second preference will be given to students from Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. Third preference will be given to students from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Awards will be made to qualified candidates in the order stated above.

The John Weldon Scott Scholarship is for incoming or current first-year students with a minimum 2.8 cumulative GPA, majoring in French or Spanish (BA), with or without Secondary Education Certification, or in International Management (BSBA) or who have a minor in Ethnic Studies, French, German, Spanish, or International Studies.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The Joseph W. McCrae Scholarship is for incoming first-year student who are residents of Pennsylvania, with a minimum 3.3 GPA and class rank in the upper 33 percent majoring in Elementary Education or Secondary Education. Preference for graduates of the Bristol Township School District (Levittown, PA) or its successor.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

This scholarship is for a full-time upper division student who has completed at least sixty (60) credits prior to benefiting from this scholarship. Recipients must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree program administered by the Communication/Journalism Department and have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

The Juanita Condon Memorial Scholarship is for incoming first-year students with preference for students enrolled in the Academic Success Program. The Judith L. Achuff Memorial Scholarship is for sophomore or junior Geography/Earth Science majors who demonstrate outstanding academic achievements, have a minimum 2.8 GPA, and demonstrate academic progress, leadership, and campus and community involvement. This is a one-year scholarship.

This scholarship is for incoming full-time, first-year students pursuing an undergraduate degree administered by the John L. Grove College of Business. Recipients must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and demonstrate financial aid by submitting the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). First preference will be giving to students who are first in their immediate to attend college. 

The Judy Lynn Graham Bogart and Donald Bogart Teacher Education Scholarship is for incoming first-year students from Mechanicsburg High School or Cumberland Valley High School intending to major in Early Childhood/Elementary/Mid-level Education or Secondary Education in any discipline. Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 and demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

This one year scholarship is awarded to a junior or senior Criminal Justice major with a concentration in Junvenile Justice.  Students must demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA.

This scholarship is for a full-time undergraduate student who has achieved junior or senior status and is a member in good standing of the Kappa Lambda Chapter of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. Recipients must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 and demonstrate leadership in the fraternity, on campus, or in the community.

The scholarship is for entering full-time first-year students who have been accepted for admission at Shippensburg University. Recipients must be pursuing an undergraduate degree in elementary education, reside in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, have a minimum GPA of 3.0, and demonstrate financial need by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This scholarship may be retained for an additional three academic years if the retention requirements are met.

This scholarship is for incoming full-time, first-year students who have been accepted for admission at Shippensburg University, and are pursuing an undergraduate degree administered by the College of Education and Human Services. Preference will be given to students from Snyder County, Pennsylvania. Second preference will be given to students from any county in Pennsylvania. This scholarship is for entering full-time first-year students pursuing an undergraduate degree in one of the STEM majors (science, technology, engineering and mathematics). First preference will be given to students from Snyder County, PA. Second preference will be given to students who reside in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Recipients must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and demonstrate financial need.

This scholarship is for entering full-time, first-year students pursuing an undergraduate degree in one of the STEM majors (science, technology, engineering and mathematics). Recipients must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.

For an incoming first-year student who intends to become a member in good standing of an SU intercollegiate team with first preference for a student from an underrepresented population. This scholarship is awarded through SU Athletics.

Applicants of the Kish-Miller Family Study Abroad Scholarship must have completed 45 credits and be registered with SU's Office of International Programs for an accredited study abroad experience for the first time. Preference is given to students who 1. have graduated from a high school in Franklin or Fulton County PA or 2. are the first in their family to attend college. This scholarship is for a student-athlete who is a punter or kicker for the Shippensburg University football team. The recipient must meet all NCAA, PSAC, and Shippensburg University regulations.

The Laura J. Peffer Stuart Memorial Scholarship is for a student demonstrating academic promise from 1. Carlisle 2. the townships surrounding Carlisle 3. Cumberland County, PA. Applicants must demonstrate financial need. The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The Lawrence Tyson Wolfrom Memorial Scholarship is for students who have earned 60 or more credits, or a graduate student, enrolled in the geography/earth science or geoenvironmental program. Selection is based upon achieving a cumulative GPA of at least 2.8, personal character, and financial need.  This is a one-year scholarship.

For incoming first-year students, or transfer students, with a minimum 2.5 QPA who intend to become members in good standing of SU's baseball team. Each applicant must also meet all applicable NCAA, PSAC and institutional regulations. Scholarship awarded through SU Athletics.

The Legros-Mastovich Family Memorial Scholarship is for Sociology or Political Science majors with an 1100 SAT score and class rank in the top 10 percent.  Applicants must demonstrate need by completing the FAFSA. Preference for a non-traditional student.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The Lillian Gertrude Bodes Kovach Memorial Scholarship is for entering first-year students majoring in Elementary Education with a 1000 SAT score and class rank in the upper 50 percent. Financial need must be demonstrated by completing the FAFSA. Preference will be given to students from 1. Somerset County 2. Fayette County.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The Linda L. Miller Scholarship is for incoming first-year students with preference given to students graduating from 1. Pine Grove Area High School 2. Schuylkill County with an SAT score of 1050 and rank in the upper 20 percent of their high school class. Applicants must demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

This scholarship is for incoming full-time first-year students pursuing an undergraduate degree administered by the John L. Grove College of Business. This scholarship is for a current Shippensburg University student who is serving in at least their second semester as an undergraduate resident assistant. Recipients must have a minimum GPA of 2.8 and demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA.

The Lt. Col. Barbara B. Cross Scholarship is for incoming first-year students from Pennsylvania who intend to enroll in the ROTC program at Shippensburg University. First preference will be given to applicants who major in a degree program in any of the Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematic disciplines or Supply Chain Management. The Lynn G. and Evelyn R. Walck Memorial Scholarship is for incoming first-year students with a minimum1200 SAT and class rank in the upper 10 percentile. First preference is for applicants from the Waynesboro, Pennsylvania area.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The M. Earl and Erna Wright Berkheimer Scholarship is for incoming first-year students majoring in education with a minim SAT score of 1200 and a class rank in the top 10 percent. Recipients must be residents of Pennsylvania.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The M. Roberta and Blair E. Keiter Memorial Scholarship is for incoming first-year students majoring in Teacher Education. The Major General Carl H. McNair, Jr. ROTC Scholarship is for incoming or current first-year students who are enrolled in the Army ROTC program at Shippensburg University. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5. Preference will be given to a high school student-athlete. The Margaretta Snoke Bolich Scholarship is for incoming first-year students majoring in Early Childhood/Elementary Education or Secondary Education with preference given to students graduating from a high school in Schuylkill County or Franklin County. This scholarship is for entering full-time, first-year students who have been accepted for admission at Shippensburg University. The Mary Jane Stewart Magnum PI Scholarship is for incoming first-year students who have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.3 and demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA. Student must be registered with the Office of Accessibility Resources. The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

This scholarship is for incoming full-time, first-year students pursuing an undergraduate major in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) or pursuing a undergraduate degree to teach a STEM field with secondary education certification. Students must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA.

The Mary Osgood Bradshaw Scholarship, in the form of a book award, is given to a first semester first-year student with a 1050 SAT score and class rank in upper 10 percent of their high school class, who is also eligible for the H.O.P.E. Diversity Scholarship.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

This scholarship is for a full-time, first-year student pursuing an undergraduate degree program administered by the School of Engineering. First preference will be given to students majoring in computer science. Recipients must have a minimum grade point average of 2.8 and demonstrate financial need by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

This scholarship is for first-year students majoring in the humanities or social sciences. Recipients must have a minimum SAT score of 1100 and graduate in the upper one-fifth of their high school class. The scholarship may be retained for three additional academic years if retention criteria is met.

This scholarship is for a student-athlete who is a member in good standing of the Shippensburg University women's basketball team. The recipient must meet all applicable NCAA, PSAC and Shippensburg University regulations. First preference will be given to students pursuing an undergraduate degree administered by the John L. Grove College of Business. The recipient must have a minimum cumulate GPA of 3.0.

The McGaughey-Higgins Outstanding Student Scholarship is for incoming first-year students with a minimum 1200 SAT score and class rank in the upper 10 percent, majoring in education.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria. 

The Merl E. Sebright & Shirley Sebright Byers Gingrich Elementary Education Scholarship is for Early Childhood/Elementary Education (preK-4) majors who have completed 30 credits, with a cumulative 3.0 GPA. Applicants must demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA. The scholarship may be retained through the student's senior year providing the student maintains a 3.0 QPA.

The Michael and Nancy Pinkowicz Business Scholarship is for incoming first-year students with a SAT score of 1000 and class rank in the upper 20 percent entering an undergraduate degree program administered by the John L. Grove College of Business. Applicants must be residents of Philadelphia, or Montgomery or Delaware counties.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The Michael D. Seyfried Memorial Academic Achievement Scholarship is for students completing 60 credits with a 3.2 cumulative GPA majoring in Mathematics. This is a one-year scholarship. Please contact the Mathematics Department for more information.

The Michael Kretschman Memorial Theatre Scholarship is for a student with 30 credits and a 2.5 cumulative GPA who has demonstrated an ongoing dedication to the theatre in the area of production or performance.  Please contact the Music Theatre Arts Department for more information.  The scholarship may be retained through the student's senior year providing the student maintains a 2.5 GPA.

This scholarship is for incoming full-time, first-year students pursuing an undergraduate degree in engineering administered by the Milton and Doreen Morgan School of Engineering. Recipients must have a minimum GPA of 3.0. This scholarship may be retained for four consecutive academic years if retention criteria is met.

The Mr. and Mrs. Robert M. Shaeffer Scholarship is for incoming first-year students who have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 and an SAT score of 1100.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

This scholarship is for upper division students who are currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program administered by the John L. Grove College of Business, and registered with Shippensburg University Office of International Programs for a study abroad experience. Recipients must have completed at least thirty (30) credits, have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, and demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA.

The scholarship is for entering full-time first-year student pursing an undergraduate degree with the John L. Grove College of Business. Applicants must have a minimum SAT score of 1100 and a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Applicaants must demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA.

The Nancy A. King Scholarship is for incoming students with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 entering a degree program in the John L. Grove College of Business. Applicants must demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA. Preference will be given to students from 1. Columbia County PA 2. students from surrounding counties 3. any county within the Commonwealth of PA.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The Nancy Kelley Ashton and Mildred Jarrett Kelley Scholarship is for an incoming first-year or enrolled student pursuing a minor in music. First-year students must have graduated in the top 20 percent of their high school class; other students must have a GPA of 3.0 or above. Applicants for the Nate and Lynne Douty Scholarship must have completed at least 60 credits at Shippensburg University or transferred 60 credits from Harrisburg Area Community College, be enrolled in a degree program in the College of Arts and Sciences, have a cumulative GPA of 3.0, and demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to first generation students.  The scholarship may be retained through the student's senior year providing the student maintains a 3.0 QPA.

This scholarship is for incoming full-time, first-year students who are pursuing an undergraduate degree in mathematics with an applied mathematics or statistics concentration, or who are seeking certification to teach mathematics at the secondary level. Applicants must be residents of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, have a minimum GPA of 3.0, and demonstrate financial need by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be considered.

The Nevin B. Montgomery Scholarship is for students completing 90 credits, with a 3.0 cumulative GPA, who are residents of PA, majoring in Elementary or Secondary Education.

The Norman E. Greenawalt Scholarship is for incoming first-year students with an 1100 SAT score and class rank of upper 20 percent. Priority consideration given to students from Cumberland or Franklin Counties with preference for Shippensburg Area High School graduate.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The O. Richard Forsythe English Education Scholarship is for incoming full-time, first-year students who have declared themselves Teacher Education candidates for certification purposes in the subject area of English. Applicants are required to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid to be considered for this scholarship.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

This scholarship is for full-time undergraduate students who have completed a minimum of 60 credits at Shippensburg University prior to benefiting from the scholarship. Recipients must be pursuing an undergraduate degree in biology with a concentration in either pre-medicine or pre-veterinary medicine and have a minimum GPA of 3.0. Recipients must reside in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. First preference will be given to students residing in Cumberland, Lancaster, or McKean counties. Second preference will be given to students residing in Franklin, Adams or Warren counties. Third preference will be given to students residing in any other county in Pennsylvania.

The Paul G. Kaiser Athletic Scholarship is for members of the SU men's or women's track & field and/or cross country teams. Each recipient must also meet all applicable NCAA, PSAC, and Shippensburg University regulations. This scholarship awarded through SU Athletics.

The Paul S. Lehman Memorial Scholarship is for incoming first-year students with a class rank in the upper 20 percent and a minimum SAT score of 1100. Preference is given to applicants from Mifflin and Juniata counties in Pennsylvania. Demonstration of good character and citizenship is also taken into consideration.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The Phillips/Morrell Family Memorial Scholarship is for an incoming first-year student who has been accepted in any undergraduate degree program at Shippensburg University.  Applicants are required to complete the FAFSA to demonstrate financial need.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

This scholarship is for entering full-time freshmen majoring in elementary education in the College of Education and Human Services. Recipients must be graduates of Carlisle High School in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.

The PMI Inc. Scholarship is for students with a minimum 3.3 GPA who reside in Bard Townhouses. Please contact the Bard Townhouses housing office for more information.  The scholarship may be retained through the student's senior year providing the student maintains a 3.3 QPA.

The scholarship is for entering full-time, first-year students pursuing an undergraduate degree in elementary education administered by the the College of Education and Human Services. Applicants must be residents of Pennsylvania, and demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA. Applicants must have a minimum SAT score of 1000 and rank in the upper one-fifth of their high school class.

The Ralphine and Gary Gentzler Scholarship is for incoming Elementary Education majors with an 1100 SAT score, cumulative GPA of 3.0 and HS rank in top 20 percent. Applicants must demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA. Students who are the first in their family, other than siblings, to attend college are given first preference. The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The Renetta F. Heiss Scholarship is for a junior majoring in business information systems who demonstrates academic excellence and promise of success in the discipline.  This is a one-year scholarship.

The Reva Hoback Brubaker Scholarship is for incoming first-year students majoring in business and demonstrating financial need and academic promise. The recipient must be a resident of Pennsylvania, Maryland, Ohio, or West Virginia. The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

This scholarship is for a full-time, first-year student who is an honorably discharged veteran of the United Stated armed forces, or is serving actively or has served in the National Guard or Reserves. The scholarship may be retained three additional academic years if retention criteria is met.
 

The Richard E. and Phyllis J. Marshall Scholarship is for a student with 30 credits, a cumulative GPA of 3.2 majoring in English, Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, Mathematics or Physics. Applicants must reside in Pennsylvania and demonstrate good character and citizenship.  The scholarship may be retained through the student's senior year providing the student maintains a 3.2 GPA.

The Richard H. Hosfeld Memorial Scholarship is for incoming first-year students from the Shippensburg Area Senior High School with an 1100 SAT score and class rank in the upper 25 percent.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The Richard J. Kostukovich Memorial Scholarship is for incoming first-year students majoring in mathematics. Preference will be given to students graduating from Cedar Cliff High School.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

This scholarship is for a student-athlete who is a member of the Shippensburg University men's basketball team. First preference will be given to a student-athlete pursuing an undergraduate degree administered by the John L. Grove College of Business or a psychology major. The recipient must meet all applicable NCAA, PSAC, and Shippensburg University regulations.

This scholarship is awarded annually to a member of SU's men's swim team through SU Athletics.

This scholarship is for incoming first-year, student-athletes who intend to become members in good standing of the Shippensburg University football team. Recipients must meet all applicable NCAA, PSAC, and Shippensburg University regulations. Recipients must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 and demonstrate financial need.

"Bucky" Ward Athletic Scholarship is for (1) incoming student-athletes or (2) upper division student-athletes graduating from Parkland High School who intend to become, or are, members in good standing of SU's intercollegiate athletic program. Recipients must demonstrate financial need. First preference is given to students enrolled in the College of Business. Scholarship awarded through SU Athletics.

The Robert Sammartino Memorial Scholarship for Marching Percussion is a one-year scholarship for students who have completed at least one season of membership and are currently performing with the SU Marching Band's percussion section. Recipients must have talent, a spirit of dedication and genuine commitment to the SU Marching Band and its members.  This scholarship is awarded through the Department of Music and Theatre Arts.

The Robert Welliver SU Foundation Scholarship is for incoming first-year students with a minimum 1100 SAT score and class rank in the upper 20 percent. The recipient will be selected based upon demonstrated ability and projected promise.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The Rocky and Patti Rees Memorial Scholarship is for student athletes in good standing on the football team meeting all applicable NCAA, conference, institutional eligibility regulations and financial aid requirements. Students enrolled in Elementary Education will be given first preference. This scholarship awarded through SU Athletics.

The Rodger Goodling Basketball Scholarship is to provide opportunities for student athletes to graduate from Shippensburg University, to help the Men’s Basketball team be competitive in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC), and to honor Coach Rodger Goodling for his service to student athletes and to Shippensburg University. Recipients of this scholarship should reflect the values embodied in Coach Goodling’s coaching: hard work both on and off the court, the value of team work rather than individual honors, and good sportsmanship in winning or losing. The Rohm and Haas/Edward M. Szapacs Scholarship is for incoming first-year students majoring in chemistry with a minimum 1050 SAT score and class rank in the upper 20 percent. Applicants must demonstrate good character and citizenship.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The Ronald G. and Arlene M. (Beiler) Gipe Scholarship is for Accounting majors who have completed 60 credits and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0. Preference for students graduating from Greencastle-Antrim High School in Franklin County or Lancaster Mennonite High School in Lancaster County. Transfer students from these high schools will also be considered. The scholarship may be retained through the student's senior year, if a awarded to a junior, providing the student maintains a 3.0 QPA.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

This scholarship is for first-year or current students who are currently enrolled in the ROTC program at Shippensburg University or are committed to enrolling in ROTC upon entering their first semester at Shippensburg University. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative high school GPA of 2.75 or above, and a minimum SAT score of 1000 or ACT score of 19. Students currently enrolled at Shippensburg University must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75.

The Rupe-Stuart College Student Personnel & College Counseling Scholarship for Graduate Students is an annual award presented to students enrolled in the College Student Personnel or the College Counseling master’s degree program. Spence Elementary Education Scholarship is for incoming first-year students with a minimum 1000 SAT score and class rank in the upper 25 percent, majoring in Early Childhood/Elementary Education. Preference for students graduating from a high school in Adams county. The Scotland School for Veterans' Children Scholarship is for incoming first-year students with a 3.0 cumulative GPA and class rank in the upper 33 percent who
1. are former graduates of the Scotland School for Veterans' Children
2. are directly related to a graduate or former employee of SSVC
3. have a direct relationship to an honorably discharged veteran or active duty service person.

The Scott Alan Petruno Memorial Scholarship is for incoming first-year students who come from a single parent household. Applicants must demonstrate good character and citizenship and must demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA. An essay and/or letters of recommendation are strongly recommended.  This is a one year only scholarship.

The Sean C. McCarthy Memorial Scholarship is presented to an incoming or enrolled student in an undergraduate degree program administered by the English Department. Entering freshmen are given first priority.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The Senior Award in Statistics/Mathematics is for students with 85 credits, 60 of which must be earned at Shippensburg University, and a cumulative GPA of 3.2, majoring in an undergraduate degree program in the Mathematics Department who are planning to complete either the Statistics or Applied Mathematics concentration in the course of earning their degree. The Shirley M. Wood Scholarship is for incoming first-year or transfer students who have graduated from Carlisle High School with a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA. Applicants must demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years if awarded to a freshman, providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The Simonetti Soccer Scholarship is for incoming first-year students who intend to become a member of SU's men's soccer team. Each recipient must also meet all applicable NCAA, PSAC, and institutional regulations. This scholarship is awarded through SU Athletics.

This scholarship is for full-time undergraduate students who have completed a minimum of 60 credits at Shippensburg University prior to benefiting from the scholarship. Applicants must be pursuing an undergraduate degree in civil or electrical engineering within the School of Engineering and have a minimum GPA of 2.8.

This scholarship is for full-time, first-year students pursuing an undergraduate degree in education. Recipients must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and demonstrate financial need. First preference will be given to students who reside in Pennsylvania.

The Smith Elliot Kearns & Company, LLC Scholarship is for students with 30 credits and a 3.0 cumulative GPA majoring in Accounting. Recipients must be residents of Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Fulton, or York County in Pennsylvania or Allegany, Frederick, Garrett, or Washington County in Maryland. Recipients must agree to complete a paid internship with Smith Elliott Kearns & Company.

The Stephen A. Bumgarner Memorial Scholarship is a one year scholarship awarded to a student athlete who has completed sixty (60) or more undergraduate credits and is a member in good standing of Shippensburg University's football team. It will be awarded to an athlete who demonstrates leadership both on and off the field; inspirational character; and perseverance. The recipient should be that athlete who, as a role model, inspires others to do their best, and promotes the type of team unity that carries beyond his playing days. This scholarship awarded through SU Athletics.

The Steven E. Ketterer Memorial Study Abroad Scholarship is for students intending to study abroad who have a cumulative GPA of 3.0. Applicants must demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA. Please contact the International Programs office for more information.  This is a one year only scholarship.

The Strine/Stoner Memorial Scholarship is for incoming first-year students majoring in Teacher Education with priority given to students from Cumberland or Dauphin Counties.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria. Applicants must demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA.

Preference is given to students 1. from Hanover, Pennsylvania; 2. Chambersburg, Pennsylvania; 3. the immediate surrounding areas.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The Tim and Jill Smith Scholarship is for incoming first-year students enrolled in any degree program at Shippensburg University.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

This scholarship is for English-Language Learner (ELL) students. Preference will be given to students graduating from Chambersburg Area Senior High School. Applicants must have a minimum SAT score of 1000 out of 1600, and rank in the upper one-third of their high school class, provided rank is available.

This scholarship is for incoming full-time first-year students who have been accepted for admission at Shippensburg University. Applicants must have a minimum SAT score of 1200, rank in the top ten percent of their high school class, and demonstrate financial need by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). 

The Vasilios and Demitra Papoutsis Memorial Scholarship is for incoming first-year students with a cumulative 3.0 GPA.  Applicants must demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The Vesta Brenize Pittman Field Hockey Scholarship is for incoming first-year or transfer students with a minimum 3.0 GPA who intend to become members in good standing of SU's field hockey team. Each applicant must also meet all applicable NCAA, PSAC and institutional regulations. This scholarship awarded through SU Athletics.

The Vincent G. and Nancy Hykes Stankus Scholarship is for incoming first-year students with a minimum 1100 SAT score and class rank in the upper 20 percent who are majoring in Elementary or Secondary Education. Applicants must also demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The Virginia Thrush Education Scholarship is for incoming first-year students with a 1050 SAT score and class rank in the upper 20 percent majoring in Social Studies Secondary Education Certification. Preference is given to graduates of 1. Shippensburg Area School District, 2. residents of Cumberland and Franklin counties 3. residents of Pennsylvania.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The Volvo Construction Equipment North America LLC, Scholarship/Internship is for incoming first-year student with a minimum grade point average of 3.0. First preference will be given to students pursuing an undergraduate degree administered by the School of Engineering. Second preference will be given to students puring an undergraduate degree administered by the John L. Grove College of Business. It is intended that the recipient completes an official, compensated internship with Volvo Construction Equipment LLC at the Shippensburg location during the summer between their sophomore and junior year provided internships are available. The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

This scholarship is for upper division students who have completed a minimum of 30 credits prior to benefitting from the scholarship. Applicants much be pursuing an undergraduate degree in accounting administered by the John L. Grove College of Business and have a minimum GPA of 2.8. First preference will be giving to students who demonstrate financial need by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This scholarship is for incoming full-time first-year students pursuing an undergraduate degree from the John L. Grove College of Business. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.8 and demonstrate financial need by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

This scholarship is for students in the Modern Language Department with 45 credits and a 2.8 cumulative GPA who intend to participate in Shippensburg University’s study abroad program. Applicants must demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA. Preference given to students majoring in 1. Spanish 2. any other foreign language. Contact the Office of International Programs for more information. This is a one-year scholarship.

The Wantz/Gross Scholarship is for incoming first-year students with a minimum 950 SAT score and class rank in the top 20 percent. Recipients must demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA. First preference given to graduates of 1. East Pennsboro Area School District 2. Cumberland County, PA.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

This scholarship is for an incoming full-time, first-year student pursuing an undergraduate degree. The recipient must be accepted into the Wood Honors College and demonstrate financial need by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

The Wilbur O. Carthey Achievement Award is for a student with a minimum of 30 credits enrolled in the College of Education and Human Services who demonstrates academic excellence and potential professional success.  This is a one year only scholarship.

The Wilkens Scholarship is for incoming first-year students majoring in English with secondary education certification. Recipients should demonstrate good character, citizenship, common sense, and possess the ability to work with people of varied ability.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The William C. Rodruan College of Business Scholarship is for Finance majors with 60 credits completed at Shippensburg University and a cumulative GPA of 3.5. Preference given to students with financial need as demonstrated by the FAFSA. The scholarship may be retained through the student's senior year providing the student maintains a 3.5 QPA.

The William E. Minsker Scholarship is for incoming first-year students majoring in Elementary or Secondary Education with a 1000 SAT score and class rank in the upper 20 percent.  Financial need must be demonstrated by completing the FAFSA.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The William F. and Susannah M. Rothman Scholarship is for incoming first-year student majoring in a degree program in the John L. Grove College of Business. Preference is given to applicants who have graduated from 1. Harrisburg City School district 2. Steelton-Highspire School District 3. Central Dauphin School District. Applicants must be demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA. Class rank, SAT scores, and high school program of study will be taken into consideration in the selection process.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

The William F. Morris Scholarship for Math and Science Secondary Education is for incoming first-year or current students with a 3.0 cumulative GPA majoring in Mathematics and/or Science Secondary Education. Applicants must have a 3.0 GPA in high school mathematics and science courses and demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.

This scholarship is for incoming full-time, first-year students pursuing an undergraduate degree administered by the College of Education and Human Services. Recipients must have a minimum GPA of 2.8 and demonstrate financial need by submitting the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

The Women's Lacrosse Scholarship is for members in good standing or incoming first-year students who intend to become a member of SU's women's lacrosse team. Each recipient must also meet all applicable NCAA, PSAC, and institutional regularions. This scholarship is awarded through SU Athletics.

This non-endowed scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to a deserving undergraduate student who is a member of the Wood Honors College.

Scholarship awarded through SU Athletics. For student-athletes who are members in good standing of SU's football team. Each applicant must also meet all applicable NCAA, PSAC and institutional regulations and have a 3.0 QPA.

This scholarship is for full-time undergraduate students who have completed at least 30 credits at Shippensburg University prior to benefiting from the scholarship. The student must be pursuing an undergraduate degree administered by the John L. Grove College of Business. The recipient must have a minimum GPA of 2.8, and first preference will be given to students who demonstrate financial need. 

The Zumbrun/Korkuch Family Scholarship is for incoming first-year students with a minimum 1100 SAT score and class rank in the upper 25 percent, who show exceptional ability in their high school curriculum. Preference given for students 1. majoring in any degree program offered through the College of Business or 2. who intend to major in English with Secondary Education certification.  The scholarship may be retained for an additional three years providing the student remains eligible according to the criteria.
